Welcome to Everyday Lover.
With a record player at the heart of our restaurant, our name is a combination of 60’s hit song ‘Everyday People’ and Stevie Wonder's ‘Part-Time Lover’.
It’s from these classic songs that we chose the name Everyday Lover to represent our space. A meeting place, here on a corner in a small Cairns suburb, where we want to celebrate the simplistic beauty of great food, great coffee, great wine, and sharing it with great company.
From collaborators Daniel Williams (owner of Two Blocks in Holloways) and Joshua Garrard (head chef of Two Blocks, and chef of many great restaurants) our aim is to create the epitome of a small neighbourhood restaurant, inspired by the timeless quality of European bistros. We take influence from everything local in all of it’s glory, alongside French, British and Italian cultural and culinary traditions, to present something humble, yet finessed. This is our home, and we hope you feel as comfortable here as we do.
We are open everyday of the week for breakfast and lunch, and Thursday to Saturday evenings from 5.30pm.
If you would like to make a reservation, please head to the ‘reservations’ tab on our website.
